The water trapped in the butter base forms a seal. • Then place the softened butter in the lid of the butter dish. • Put the lid back on the base and start using it. • Our French butter bubble keeps your fresh, unsalted butter fresh for up to 10 days, and even longer if the butter is salted. • We recommend emptying the water from the butter bubble every two days and refilling it with fresh water. When the butter bubble is empty, wash it thoroughly and add fresh butter! Note: For a better seal, the water level should be 0 inches above the waterline.
